Piece Description:
Icarus is the boy who flew too close to the sun. A story that connects with an ancient dream: soaring in the sky, flying free.
While composing this piece, I had two images in mind: early footage of attempts at powered flight in machines of great delicacy - and hang-gliding enthusiasts wheeling and diving over a cliff - like the seabirds that surrounded them.
